Vicar:
The Revd Alistair Kaye
Alistair has overall
responsibility for the two churches, and their activities.
Alistair writes:
We came to Armley
in 1998, and with two children at the local school and Sue working at a
local College, after a time away, we’ve enjoyed coming back to West Yorkshire.
Alistair, originally
from Australia, enjoys sports, food (especially curries), hates DIY and
plays football very badly.
Sue teaches English
to overseas students at Park Lane College and we both enjoy trips to the
Moors and Dales.
We’ve loved the warm
friendly atmosphere of Christ Church - do join us any time it really is
a church for All-Ages!
Curate:
The Revd Jane Twitty
Jane has been working
in the parish since 1995. Jane has been working mainly at the Heights,
but recently has taken on more responsibility parish-wide.
NEWS: Jane has just announced she will be moving on at the
end of 2007 to be Team Vicar in the Langport Team Ministry in Somerset!
Jane writes:
One of the things
that attracted me to Yorkshire was the possiblity of walks in the Dales
on days off. I also enjoy reading, crafts and DIY. I'm bad at answering
friends' letters, but quite good at responding to e-mails, as I like playing
with the computer! I'm a convinced chocoholic.
Curate:
The Revd Richard Dimery
Richard has been working across the two churches for
three and a half years since the early summer of 2004. Amongst his roles, he has
responsibility for the Pastoral Care Team and the evening services.
Richard writes:
My wife Sarah and I have loved getting to know people in Armley, and
engaging with all that's going on - it's such an exciting and busy place and
church, and it's a privilege to work with such varied and committed people.
We're both from Yorkshire and love being part of Leeds, and part of Christ
Church.
Richard and Sarah have been
married for three and a half years and have a son Sam who will be two in
January.
